About MeloKura

The wellness category was built on guesswork.
We're here to measure it.

MeloKura was founded to bring real measurement to a wellness industry that asks how you feel and hopes for the best. This is the story of how that came about – the people, the research, and the conviction that wellness should be measurable.

How this began

A wellness industry that couldn't show its working.

Jonniy Saarde started thinking about measured wellness after nearly three decades in audio, struck by how unmeasured the wellness audio space remained – every app on the market promised results without ever measuring them.

The wellness market was already enormous, but it operated almost entirely on self-report. Apps asked how you felt before a session, asked again after, and called the difference progress. There was no objective measurement, no biological baseline, and no way to measure whether the session itself had done anything at all.

That gap – between the industry's confidence and its evidence – became MeloKura. The idea was simple in principle and difficult in execution: take a facial scanning engine validated against reference instruments, pair it with a catalogue of SoundScapes built from frequencies, and build a simple loop: measure, listen, measure again. Five years and several research collaborations later, that loop is what you find on this site.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The principles that shape MeloKura.

Wellness should be measurable.

If a wellness practice is working, you should be able to see it in your body's signals - not just notice it in your mood. MeloKura is built on the conviction that the difference between hope and progress is measurement.

Claims must be earned.

We don't publish efficacy percentages we can't substantiate. We don't quote outcomes we haven't measured. When the science isn't settled, we say so. When a finding is preliminary, we label it that way. The wellness industry has lost a lot of public trust by overclaiming - we'd rather underclaim and earn yours.

Your data is yours.

Your scan results are personal. We treat them that way: your scan is processed securely and only with your consent. Fully GDPR compliant. We make money from subscriptions – not from your data. The two are not the same business model, and we won't pretend otherwise.

Wellness shouldn't require equipment.

You shouldn't need a £400 wearable, a clinic appointment, or a subscription to a hardware platform to know how your body is doing. MeloKura works through the camera you already own - by design, not as a compromise.
