The science behind MeloKura
Measured by science. Studied with researchers. Honest about the rest.
MeloKura rests on two layers of science: a facial scan validated against reference instruments, and SoundScapes built from frequencies and studied in research. This page sets out what the research shows – and where the evidence is still developing.

Where the evidence stands
What we'll claim - and what we won't.
The wellness industry has lost a lot of public trust by overclaiming. We'd rather earn yours by being precise about what the research actually shows.
We'll claim
MeloScan's measurement technology is validated against reference instruments.
The scanning engine behind MeloScan has been tested against reference instruments. Its heart rate readings agree within the tolerance accepted for wellness measurement. Our scanning partner is certified to ISO 27001 for information security.
We'll claim
MeloKura has been studied in research at Aalborg University and in South Korea.
In the Aalborg study, part-funded by the Danish Innovation Fund, MeloKura improved muscle coordination and efficiency, while ordinary relaxing music showed no effect on the same measures. Research in South Korea studied brain activity (EEG) and heart rate variability (HRV) during listening.
We won't claim
That 432Hz tuning on its own delivers specific health benefits.
The evidence for tuning in isolation is still developing. We sell what you can measure on yourself – not the frequency – and we will say plainly when a claim outruns the research.
We won't claim
That MeloScan is a medical device.
MeloScan is a wellness and lifestyle tool intended to support self-awareness and wellbeing. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
THE RESEARCH
Studied with researchers
A decade of research, run with institutions that publish their methods – not testimonials.

Aalborg University · Denmark
Muscle coordination and efficiency
In a study at Aalborg University (Serafin & Sårde, 2018), part-funded by the Danish Innovation Fund, MeloKura improved muscle coordination and efficiency, while ordinary relaxing music showed no effect on the same measures.
Muscle measurements (acoustic myography) by Dr Adrian Harrison, University of Copenhagen and Curo Diagnostics.

SEOUL NATIONAL UNIVERSITY / EASY BRAIN CENTRE · SOUTH KOREA
EEG and HRV research
Research in South Korea (2016–2018) measured brain activity (EEG) and heart rate variability (HRV) during listening.
